AHAS VIDEO

HI - I'm Mike Houston. I'd like to share some valuable information with you about Deaf Link's Accessible Hazard Alert System (AHAS)

AHAS offers Emergency Management the capability of including persons who are Deaf, Blind, Hard of Hearing or Deaf/Blind and persons with low literacy into emergency preparedness before, during and after a disaster.

Alerts are geo targeted to subscribers in affected areas and are also sent in broadcast quality formats to local TV stations.

AHAS sends accessible alerts to internet and video capable devices such as computers, cell phones, I-Pads and wireless Braille readers. Alerts are offered in American Sign Language (ASL), English voice and text.
